- Friday 40 hours a week.
- Responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of telephone, data, and fiber cables
- Inspect or test lines or cables, recording and analyzing test results to locate faults
- Read work orders, blueprints, plans, and data sheets to determine work to be done
The Communications Technician is responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of telephone, data, and fiber cable.
Job DescriptionMay be required to help the construction crew with refurbish and demolition projects when the need arises. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Ability to differentiate colors precisely. Utilizes varies machines/equipment such as paint sprayers, vinyl machine, and basic tools. Ability to work on high equipment, such as lifts, ladders etc. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
Requires flexibility with indoor and outdoor working conditions. Keeps in compliance with the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA). Travel may be required (estimated 10%).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of previous phone and data cabling experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required. Must maintain good driving record.
