• Support and manage daily job site operations in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and surrounding areas
• Perform underground utility and pipe installation, including water, sewer, and storm systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, utility layouts, and grade stakes
• Strip sites, excavating trenches, dig footings, backfill, grade, and place topsoil
• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, motor graders, wheel loaders, skid loaders, side dumps, and/or dump trucks
• Maintain production standards while protecting underground utilities and existing infrastructure
• Focus on job site safety, trench safety, and quality underground utility installation
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, production, and workflow throughout the day

• 3 or more years of heavy equipment operator experience
• Leadership experience and a Crew leader or foreman
• Proven experience with underground utilities and pipe work, including water, sewer, and storm systems, is helpful
• Hands‑on experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and skid steers
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, utility plans, and grading plans
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Great communication skills
• CDL is helpful but not required
• Commitment to safety, production excavation, underground utility quality, and teamwork
