Position Overview

We are seeking a Diesel Service Technician to join our team at a Ford dealership. The role involves repairs and maintenance of heavy‑ and medium‑duty diesel vehicles in a fast‑paced environment. Successful candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic about learning.

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Read job orders, observe vehicle operation to diagnose malfunctions, and plan work procedures
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined
• Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks, adjusting as needed
• Test‑drive vehicles to confirm proper operation
• Tag and return warranty parts to the warranty clerk
• Attend training classes and stay current on factory technical bulletins
• Complete assigned service and repairs per supervisor instructions
• Adhere to safety requirements and published procedures
• Participate in technical training as assigned by management
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Show courtesy to guests, visitors, and dealership personnel
• Pursue production objectives set by management
• Follow manufacturer policies on labor operations, repair orders, and torque specifications
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Service Supervisor or management

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• At least 1 year of experience with diesel vehicles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• ASE certification preferred
• CDL certification preferred
• Team player with strong customer focus
