Marvin is seeking a Light Diesel Mechanic to keep our manufacturing operations running safely and reliably. In this on-site role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair light-duty diesel trucks, forklifts, and related equipment that support our window, door, and skylight production. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, and respond to breakdowns to reduce downtime. Working in a people-first, safety-focused culture, you'll partner with production teams, use modern diagnostic tools, and grow your skills through hands-on learning in a stable, family-owned company.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair light-duty diesel trucks, forklifts, and support equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, fluid changes, and safety inspections per Marvin and OEM standards.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brake, and fuel systems using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and repair documentation in maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with production and facilities teams to prioritize repairs supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ensure shop, tools, and work areas meet safety and cleanliness standards; follow all OSHA and company policies.
- Assist with emergency breakdowns and after-hours repairs as needed to maintain critical operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, standard work, and maintenance practices.
