NFJP Case Manager

Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities.

Wage: $24.00 per hour

Job Type: Full‑time, non‑exempt

Work Location: Sioux Falls, SD

• Conduct outreach and recruitment activities throughout eastern SD to connect eligible participants with NFJP services and meet program goals.
• Complete participant intake, eligibility determination, enrollment, and required documentation.
• Provide ongoing case management, career counseling, and individualized support to enrolled participants.
• Develop and monitor Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) and vocational goals with participants.
• Identify barriers to employment and connect participants to community resources and support services.
• Assist participants with job readiness activities including resumes, cover letters, and employment preparation.
• Coordinate referrals to employment, training, educational opportunities, and workforce partners.
• Maintain accurate records and enter required participant and program data into agency systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with community agencies, employers, educational institutions, and workforce partners.
• Participate in meetings, outreach events, professional development, and program training as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four (4) years of experience in case management, workforce development, human services, education, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse populations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management in a technology‑based system.
• Valid South Dakota Driver's License.
