LSS REACH Coordinator
LSS REACH (Resources & Education for Adolescents Choosing Healthy Behaviors) Seeks a Coordinator and advocate for educating adolescents and encouraging healthy relationship skills. If you have an interest in helping young people to attain healthy relationships and lifestyles.
Hours:
Part-time (29 hours or less), typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

LSS REACH (Resources and Education for Adolescents Choosing Healthy Behaviors) and the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) support the South Dakota Department of Health and at-risk youth throughout South Dakota to reduce the risk of unplanned teen pregnancy, and the spread of STD and HIV. The program promotes and provides education of abstinence, healthy lifestyles, healthy relationships, and healthy adolescent development.
Candidate will assist in coordination and facilitation of classroom sessions for youth, ages 10-19. The REACH Coordinator will be trained in several evidence-based curricula and facilitate staff training throughout the state as needed and will assist in hosting an annual Positive Youth Development staff conference. Candidate will establish and maintain relationships with partners to coordinate and implement training programs, completing outreach to increase the implementation of REACH statewide.
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, is required. Possess two years of related experience is preferred. South Dakota Social Worker or Social Work Associate licensure preferred; required within six (6) months of employment. Be at least 21 years old and willing to complete agency background checks. Maintain a valid driver's license or obtain one with approved driver status. Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
