Position: 2026 Accounts Payable Clerk (AP - RSC)

Accounts Payable (AP) Associate

The Accounts Payable (AP) Associate supports both the Red Salmon and Pederson Point plants, and is responsible for processing vendor invoices, responding to and researching vendor accounts payable inquiries. Additional related tasks include entering purchase orders, employee and fisherman sales receipts, compiling and reconciling end‑of‑month vendor statements, and assisting with end‑season fisherman statements/accounting. This seasonal position works approximately May – mid‑August in the Naknek office and mid‑August–September 30 in the Edmonds office.

In Edmonds the company provides housing and a meal stipend. The associate works about twelve hours per day, seven days per week during peak production seasons.

Responsibilities
  • Review invoices and categorize expenses.
  • Prepare invoices for processing in the AP system.
  • Sort payables for payment.
  • Research and communicate vendor inquiries.
  • File and maintain accounting documents (invoices, checks, ACH remits).
  • Assist in month‑end vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Assist with fisherman accounting.
  • Answer office phone and in‑office questions from fishermen and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 18 or older.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Basic understanding of Accounts Payable (training provided).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Effective email communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated and quality focused.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Availability to work 12 hours per day, seven days per week, with additional hours during peak seasons.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain professional composure in high‑stress environments.
  • Willingness to work in an office setting at a seafood processing plant.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Seafood production experience preferred.

Room and Board

Transportation from the nearest international airport to the worksite is provided for employees who work until the season ends. Employees who leave before the season ends may arrange their own transportation and may be charged $15 per day for room and board.

Payroll Information

Pay periods are biweekly. Employees are paid on the Friday following the end of the biweekly pay period. Direct deposit is encouraged; paper checks are also available.
