Job Description

Position:
Accounting Technician I – Operations Support (Status: Non‑exempt). In this role you will serve as the front‑desk contact, supporting the operations team with customer service, data entry, and office management duties.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Answer phones, radio communications, word‑process documents, and maintain filing systems.
  • Perform data entry and basic accounting tasks—including processing invoices, receipts, inventory, and other items as directed.
  • Assist the Office Manager with month‑end invoicing, inventory, accounting, and reporting.
  • Cross‑train in other office and accounting positions as needed, including working with the corporate accounting office.
  • Assist customers at the counter or by phone with orders, invoices, statements, and account information; resolve problems and maintain positive relationships.
  • Perform additional general office duties as requested by the Office or Terminal Manager.
Requirements
  • Professionalism and strong knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including the creation and maintenance of spreadsheets.
  • Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
  • Physical ability to communicate via telephone and radio, perform computer data entry, stand/walk/sit for prolonged periods, and lift at least 25 lbs regularly.
Additional Eligibility

Applicants must be available for full‑time work and be able to provide a clean criminal record (no felony convictions).
