Whatdoes Brice Pacific LLC do?
Brice Pacific specializes in construction projects primarily for federal clients in Alaska, the lower-48, and select international markets. Our work ranges from remote Alaskan villages to Pacific islands and includes services such as specialty structures, civil work, federal buildings, laboratories, and aircraft hangars.
What can you expect?As the Quality Control Systems Manager, you will work onsite in rural Alaska and oversee and implement the three-phase quality control program for fast-paced design-build projects. You will develop and administer project-specific quality control plans, manage construction quality, and ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and client expectations. You will maintain a consistent on-site presence, coordinate with project teams, review and certify submittals, inspect work for conformance, and lead documentation and reporting efforts.
You will resolve non-conformances, facilitate inspections, and support project closeout, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a dynamic construction environment.
- Prepare and submit daily Contractor Production Reports, Quality Control, submittal log.
- Ensure safety inspections are performed.
- Maintain updated as-built drawings onsite, testing plan and log, and ensure all testing is performed per contract.
- Certify and sign statements on invoices that work billed is completed in accordance with contract requirements.
- Ensure that all required keys, operation and maintenance manuals, warranty certificates, and as-built drawings are submitted to Owner.
- Develop and administer the project quality control plan in coordination with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Superintendent.
- Enforce project quality control plans and related standards.
- Maintain a presence at the site during progress of the work.
- Conduct daily utilization and maintain the Federal Client reporting software.
- Lead and document weekly QC meetings with project leadership and provide minutes as described in contract documents.
- Write daily QC reports confirming conformance with project standards and address non-conformances to achieve timely outcomes.
- Manage, schedule, review, and certify all submittals for client review and approval.
- Prepare and track all RFIs and DCVRs for submission to client and designer.
- Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to align on standards of care for each definable feature of work.
- Verify and document materials received are in conformance with approved submittals and are acceptable for use.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and the Project Superintendent before each new phase.
- Perform necessary project inspections for contract compliance.
- Schedule, document results, and maintain a log of code and independent inspections.
- Document, correct, and re-inspect all non-conformances prior to completing the work.
- Conduct periodic follow-up inspections to verify work proceeds per contract documents and approved submittals.
- Perform Punch-out, Pre-final, and participate in Final Inspections; establish deficiencies and correct before Final inspection.
- Assemble and forward project closeout documents to the Project Manager.
- Stop work if necessary to resolve safety, quality, or progress issues.
- Maintain situational awareness and work safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but requires coordination with other project-level safety personnel.
