Material Coordinator - O&M North Slope Construction
ASRC Energy Services, LLC (AES) is part of the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) family of companies. AES is a service provider in the energy industry with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Evaluate project specifications and engineered drawings for material takeoffs and substitutions.
- Provide material status reports on permanent materials: total quantities ordered, quantities received and stored onsite, and quantities ordered but not received.
- Report daily status of line haul trucks and daily consumables required to sustain crews.
- Interface with project and construction managers, craft foremen, and field crews to provide material delivery updates and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Forward related project documents to the appropriate client point of contact.
- Maintain and report material sourcing through approved vendors and freight forwarders.
- Receive and inspect materials to project specifications, including review of receiving documents for accuracy.
- Supervise material warehousing and ensure items are stored according to corporate and client requirements.
- Copy/scan and file all receipts, invoices, Bills of Lading, and other material documentation at the project site office.
- Compile receipts, invoices, Bills of Lading, and material documentation and send to the corporate office to process for payment.
- Coordinate delivery and receiving of materials to job-specific locations.
- Attend morning Foremen's meetings to provide daily material status updates and address material requests or issues.
- Ensure vendor documents and related project documents are forwarded to Document Control (e.g., material test reports, MSDS) to the Safety department.
- Enforce all safety and material guidelines.
- Provide leadership in applying best standards of practice to all programs, activities, and project operations.
- Perform other duties as needed and comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability for safe work practices.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Materials Procurement and Logistics.
- Experience with industrial electrical materials is highly preferred.
