Electrical Technician - O&M North Slope Construction
Electrical Technician will support the Santos Commissioning Team. They will be responsible for the testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment on the Pikka Nanushuk Drillsite B (NDB) Phase 1 Well Tie-In (WTI) Campaign. They will ensure all electrical systems are properly installed, function correctly, and meet safety and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Providing technical field support to commissioning and startup activities as required.
- Compliance to project schedules, cost, quality, and safety targets.
- Drive improvement, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction in commissioning activities.
- Carry out pre-commissioning checks in electrical systems including Heat Tracing, in readiness for commissioning and handover to Operations.
- Accurately document commissioning results, tests, and inspections ensuring all records are up to date in the Completion Management System.
- Perform and monitor testing of electrical equipment to assure compliance with specifications and test procedures.
- Program Thermon EHT controllers.
- Formal technical education in Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Eligibility and authorization to work in the United States.
- 5+ years of combined experience in Construction / Commissioning for Industrial and Oil and Gas Facilities.
- Experience in the startup of Oil and Gas facilities.
- Experience programming Heat Tracing Controllers.
- Understanding of applicable codes and standards.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills required to interact at all levels of seniority.
- Experience working on the North Slope.
