JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in supporting early operations at Pikka by developing detailed, execution-ready maintenance work packs in a dynamic and evolving environment. As a new asset entering startup, maintenance demand will be variable and often unpredictable, requiring disciplined planning, adaptability, and strong field engagement. This role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Scheduling to ensure maintenance work is fully scoped, technically aligned, and resource-ready prior to execution.

The position will be based on the North Slope on a 2x2 schedule through startup, approximately six months, with the potential opportunity to transition to a town-based 9/80 schedule based on operational needs and performance. Regular field rotations would maintain strong engagement with onsite teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Develop detailed, execution-ready maintenance work packs in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Support varying maintenance demands in early operations and support future development.
  • Execute disciplined planning, adaptability, and field engagement to best support overall operations.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Scheduling to ensure maintenance work is fully scoped, technically aligned, and resource-ready prior to execution.
  • Help establish structured planning processes, build standardized job plans, and capture lessons learned as systems stabilize.
  • Build credibility and working relationships with field personnel.
  • Effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, startup environment.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in oil and gas, industrial, or process facility operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability support roles
  • Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes in a process facility environment
  • Working knowledge of safety systems, isolation practices, and permit-to-work requirements
  • Proficient in SAP (or similar CMMS) for work order planning and job pack development
  • Strong understanding of rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems, and process equipment
  • Familiarity with interpreting P&IDs, equipment drawings, and technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of maintenance KPIs and continuous improvement principles
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Technical degree or trade certification
  • Experience supporting early-life or startup operations
  • Experience in oil production, drilling operations, processing facilities, or seawater treatment systems
  • Familiarity with North Slope operations and logistics
