Civil Market Leader (20+ years experience) – Jacksonville, FL
Oversee business development and project execution within WGI’s Civil Engineering Division. The role combines strategic sales, client management, and technical oversight to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop business opportunities and maintain industry connections to secure high‑value projects.
- Ensure efficient project execution within budget and schedule.
- Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate team members; oversee development and maintenance of team competence.
- Monitor financial performance, ensure pipeline adequacy, and report on results.
- Conduct administrative functions: reviewing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and maintaining documentation.
- Build and maintain an organizational structure that maximizes efficiency across the sector.
- Provide guidance, disciplinary action, or termination of employees as needed.
- Maintain client satisfaction and manage corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate and mentor Team Leaders to deliver quality projects.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work.
- Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts; obtain approvals and ensure signed contracts for billing.
- Collaborate with team leaders to build backlog projections to support utilization, growth, and hiring decisions.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field.
- 20 or more years of experience after graduation.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional license.
- Postgraduate business education and/or MBA preferred.
- Currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis; sponsorship not available.
Work is performed in an office setting. Requires hand‑eye coordination to operate a computer and use a telephone headset for virtual communication. Prolonged sitting, use of hands for handling objects, and speaking and hearing are routine. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
