Associate Solar Field Engineer
Peak Demand has partnered with Helio Volta, a trailblazing company at the intersection of solar, storage, and software, to help them grow their team of technical and industry experts. Helio Volta is on a mission to raise the bar for safety, quality, and reliability across renewable energy projects. Through a combination of hands-on field expertise and cutting-edge software—most notably their Solar Grade platform—they’re helping the largest players in solar and storage standardize operations, reduce risk, and accelerate clean energy deployment.
They’re looking for an Associate Solar Field Engineer with QA/QC experience to support technical field services including inspections, diagnostics, and testing for utility-scale and C&I systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who’s ready to deepen their skills, take on diverse projects, and make a direct impact on the future of clean energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC inspections for construction, commissioning, and operational systems
- Conduct electrical testing (IV curve tracing, thermal imaging, insulation resistance, etc.)
- Assist with root cause analyses, emergency investigations, and end-of-warranty reviews
- Create detailed reports for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support Helio Volta’s use of Solar Grade and contribute to process improvements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- 1+ years of field experience in solar or energy storage
- Familiarity with QA/QC, commissioning, or O&M work
- Hands-on diagnostic and testing experience (Isc, Voc, IV curve tracing, etc.)
- A strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Willingness to travel 50% or more nationwide
- Bonus: OSHA 10 or NFPA 70e certification
Compensation: $70k-$90k
