The role involves greeting and assisting them with transactions while connecting them to other department experts as needed. Candidates should have banking experience or significant experience in a regulated industry with strong customer relationship skills and an understanding of products and services that best assist customers.
Salary: $23.45/hour minimum, plus 10% differential. The payment schedule is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday
Responsible for welcoming customers to the branch and delivering consistent and exceptional customer service through engagement. The Person al Banker builds and deepens relationships by uncovering banking needs and recommending appropriate products, services, and solutions. The role may include coaching and mentoring branch employees and working closely with the Branch Manager or Operations Supervisor to ensure operational controls and daily branch functions are completed.

- Provides consistent and exceptional service that enhances customer interactions through a genuine desire to assist and a high level of support, contributing to the overall branch experience.
- Engages with customers to uncover banking needs and leverages knowledge to cross‑sell multiple products, services, and solutions, increasing the bank’s revenue and providing added value.
- Opens and updates consumer and business accounts, including high‑complexity ownerships.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of consumer and business digital platforms, engaging customers in conversations and showcasing mobile applications.
- Has advanced knowledge of Cash Management services and makes recommendations, acting as liaison between the Cash Management Sales Team and customers.
- May direct, coach, and mentor other branch employees, working closely with the Branch Manager or Operations Supervisor.
- Assists with personal loan and credit card services, guiding consumer customers through loan and credit card application processes.
- Supports business credit card transactions and application processes.
- Assists customers with debit card cancellations, reissues, account disputes, stop payments, and transaction research.
- Performs teller corrections, approves customer transactions, and verifies and sends wire transfers within defined limits and authority.
- May act as Vault Teller, Safe Deposit Box Attendant, or Universal Teller II as assigned.
- Abides by First National Bank Alaska policies and complies with all regulatory requirements, completing compliance training and following internal procedures.
- Performs other work‑related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations and complete all compliance training on time.
- Know and comply with bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations that apply to the job.
- Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank’s operations by safeguarding confidential information.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Two years of customer service experience with at least one year of relationship development experience in the financial industry; or three years of relational sales experience.
Preferred: Knowledge of First National Bank Alaska products and services.
SKILLS and ABILITIES: Knowledge of personal computer operation, ability to keyboard 35 wpm and operate a 10‑key calculator. Word processing and spreadsheet experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, discretion, good judgment, integrity, and ethical conduct with confidentiality.
