Lead our Outpatient Specialty Clinic and elevate access to care in Southeast Alaska. As the RN Manager for Specialty Services, you’ll guide a skilled, mission‑driven team improving clinic operations, patient flow, safety, quality, and the overall patient experience—while making a measurable difference in Tribal health across our island community.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Specialty Clinic team—coaching, staffing, and building a culture of safety, quality, and respect.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Specialty Services and the Supervisor of Scheduling & Referral Coordination to optimize schedules, referrals, and access.
  • Standardize and improve workflows to enhance throughput, reduce wait times, and strengthen the patient experience.
  • Ensure clinical reliability—policies, procedures, and competencies are current, understood, and consistently followed.
  • Monitor key metrics (flow, access, quality indicators) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion patient safety and regulatory readiness in the ambulatory environment.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of varied RN experience, including ≥1 year in ambulatory care.
  • 2+ years supervisory/managerial experience in healthcare.
  • Active RN license in the U.S. (Alaska or ability to obtain).
  • Proven strengths in team leadership, change management, and service excellence.
Compensation & Incentives
  • Pay: $50–$70 per hour DOE.

Key Essential Functions And Accountabilities Of The Job Leadership/Management
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and mentoring to the clinic staff to proactively reduce all barriers to access, standardize consistent processes and improve the patient experience.
  • Identify and correct any staff and clinic flow or system issues.
  • Mentor staff and constantly seek feedback from nursing and other clinic staff and providers.
  • Hold regular clinic meetings to promote staff engagement, consistency, and improve clinic quality, safety, efficiency and patient experience.
  • Act as an overall clinic leader to improve specialty & surgery clinic services.
Staffing
  • Recruit, orient, and mentor staff.
  • Provide for professional growth and development of nursing and clinic staff.
  • Orient personnel concerning all new policies, procedures, routines and operating new equipment.
  • Address employee relations issues timely with the help of the Specialty Director, as needed.
  • Direct and supervise nursing and clinic staff where indicated in assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients to assure the highest quality of patient care is being provided.
