Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Retail Warehouse Worker to join our seasonal team at our remote hotel in Denali, Alaska. This role focuses on managing the inventory, storage, and distribution of retail merchandise for our shops and outlets.
Experience the Endless Summer of Alaska at Denali Park Village Hotel! Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. The Denali National Park & Preserve covers 6.2 million acres and attracts over half a million visitors annually. The hotel, located just 7 miles south of the park entrance, operates from May to September and offers comfortable accommodations, exceptional dining, and live entertainment in a stunning natural setting.
Position Details:
This exciting seasonal role is available from May 4 – September 17, 2026
. We offer competitive wages, comfortable on‑site housing, a variety of fun activities, an inclusive meal plan for $16 a day, and access to our on‑site gym.
- Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of retail merchandise (souvenirs, apparel, sundries, and other goods).
- Track stock levels and report shortages or overages.
- Rotate merchandise to maintain freshness and presentation quality.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas for retail goods.
- Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and accessibility of items.
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Deliver merchandise to retail outlets and gift shops on property.
- Assist retail staff with restocking and supply requests.
- Support seasonal transitions, including bulk deliveries and inventory resets.
- Maintain accurate inventory logs and documentation.
- Follow hotel policies and safety procedures for handling goods.
- Report damages, discrepancies, or hazards promptly.
- Plan ahead for supply needs due to limited access to outside services.
- Assist with special projects and seasonal adjustments unique to the remote setting.
- Prior experience in retail warehouse, inventory, or logistics preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Comfortable working in a remote, wilderness environment with limited resources.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and seasonal demands.
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
- Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
