• provide excellent customer service and deliver on the value offer
• schedule staff to maximize customer service and fulfill business needs
• manage the general merchandise hardlines department to maximize sales and grow profits
• ensure that the daily operating disciplines, as described in the best practices manual (retail basics) are consistently met
• ensure operating goals are met by monitoring performance, following merchandizing practices, supporting promotions, maintain operational standards, and controls
• support, train, and develop staff
• participate as a key member of store team, providing leadership to store team and support to the store manager

• strong customer service skills
• 3+ years of management experience in general merchandise retail
• record of bottom line and sales results in previous roles
• strong knowledge of general merchandise operating principles
• ability to interpret a variety of instructions both verbally and orally
• computer knowledge of excel and outlook
• customer driven
• ability to work with confidential information

company-provided housing is intended for employees and their immediate family members only, defined as a spouse or partner and dependent children. Most housing units have an occupancy limit of four individuals. Exceptions will be reviewed and must be approved in advance by the director of operations.

due to the remote nature of our locations, limited housing options, and restricted access to veterinary care, pets are generally discouraged. Pet requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by the director of operations. In communities where pets are permitted, there is a firm limit of two pets per unit—no exceptions. Service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable laws.
