- Repowering

Our client is a rapidly growing leader in Commercial and Utility-Scale Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M). With triple-digit growth in recent years and aggressive expansion plans for the next five years, they are seeking a strategic and technical executive to help lead the development of a Technical Services Division that is repowering damaged PV projects. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of a thriving renewable energy company.

The Director of Construction
- Repowering will lead the development and growth of the company’s Technical Services division. This role will provide technical guidance and leadership for construction and estimation efforts for repowering projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can build internal processes, manage large-scale rework and retrofit projects, and expand the client portfolio while optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a Technical Services strategy that aligns with company-wide objectives, ensuring long-term growth and operational excellence.
  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day solar facility operations, ensuring maximum system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and analyze performance data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the Technical Services department’s P&L, prepare budgets, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor O&M staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines while implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with existing and potential customers, regulatory bodies, investors, and industry partners. Represent the company in industry forums and expand the company’s market presence.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in EPC or O&M within the utility-scale solar industry.
  • Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams, with a proven track record of scaling departments.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets and P&L is highly preferred.
  • Customer Interface: Strong ability to engage with customers and drive large-scale projects from inception to execution.
  • Strategic Growth: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement departmental growth strategies.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically up to 25% for executive meetings and customer site visits.

Compensation: $140-175k + bonus and 100% paid company benefits
