Description

The Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) team seeks a qualified Systems Engineer for a new long‑term project. This is a remote opportunity, but candidates must be located within a 2‑hour drive of either the Dayton, OH or Montgomery, AL area.

• Provides technical and subject‑matter expert (SME) support for the program.
• Researches, identifies, and closes stagnant PQDRs.
• Captures, understands, translates, and documents customer requirements.
• Defines system and program requirements and generates software performance and reliability specifications.
• Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
• Manages and documents system configurations and oversees all transitions into production.
• Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensures successful program changes/migrations, and provides post‑project end‑user support.

• U.S. citizen.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Geographically located within a 2‑hour drive of the Dayton, OH or Montgomery, AL area.
• At least 5 years of experience in information system oversight.
• At least 5 years of troubleshooting on‑premises system‑level issues in Windows and Linux.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience working in Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) for the U.S. Air Force.
