Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Sitka, Alaska. Anticipated start date: 07/06/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $3,029–$3,120 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Rotating. Setting: hospital-based emergency department.

- All-inclusive rate; housing or flights not provided
- Coordinate and perform a broad range of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages in the ED, following provider orders and standards of care.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed.
- Administer medications and therapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and document treatments accurately.
- Transcribe physician orders, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team, and facilitate patient flow and throughput.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate; ensure continuity of care through accurate handoffs and documentation.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs/techs, maintain infection control practices, and respond promptly to emergencies with sound clinical judgment.
- Valid, current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska, current at time of submission.
- Must have/obtain influenza vaccination prior to employment.
- BLS and PALS required upon hire; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; prior ER/specialty area experience preferred.
- Education:
Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited program; licensure to practice as an RN in Alaska. - Ability to work in a hospital emergency department setting with rotating shifts; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Must reside at least 50 miles away from the assignment facility address.
- All-inclusive pay rate; no housing or flights provided.
- 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and potential extension opportunities.
- Dedicated recruiter support and assignment coordination.
- Compliance with Alaska licensing and vaccination requirements; onboarding and credentialing assistance as applicable.
