• Coordinate and perform a broad range of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages in the ED, following provider orders and standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed.
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and document treatments accurately.
• Transcribe physician orders, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team, and facilitate patient flow and throughput.
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate; ensure continuity of care through accurate handoffs and documentation.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs/techs, maintain infection control practices, and respond promptly to emergencies with sound clinical judgment.

• Valid, current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska, current at time of submission.
• Must have/obtain influenza vaccination prior to employment.
• BLS and PALS required upon hire; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; prior ER/specialty area experience preferred.
• Education:
  
  Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited program; licensure to practice as an RN in Alaska.
• Ability to work in a hospital emergency department setting with rotating shifts; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from the assignment facility address.

• Compliance with Alaska licensing and vaccination requirements; onboarding and credentialing assistance as applicable.
