This position is a member of an outstanding nursing and direct care staff at the Sitka Pioneer Home and plays a vital role in providing care and support in a safe environment for up to sixty-five (65) elders.

What you will be doing:
Provide high quality care to assisted living home residents in a warm, supportive, and caring manner. This position provides clinical and medication administration to residents and clinical support to the care teams. Focus will be on quality resident care, the growth, development, and empowerment of health care teams, and the promotion of assisted living philosophy and statutes.

This job is located in the Sitka Pioneer Home, an assisted living home in the heart of downtown at 120 Katlian Street in Sitka, Alaska. Imagine working in an environment on a beautiful waterfront campus, renowned for its gorgeous and aromatic rose hedges and scenic views

Other Job information:
* This position is in support of the Pioneer Home, which is a 24-hour facility.
* This Pioneer Home is an Eden Alternative facility, where the environment includes contact with plants, flowers, and pets including cats, dogs, fish and birds.
* Employees of the Pioneer Home receive continual screening for tuberculosis and criminal history.

Minimum Qualifications
Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
AND
Two years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, one of which must have been at the full performance/journey level. Examples of this latter experience include but are not exclusively limited to prior service as a Nurse II, Corrections Nurse II, or Psychiatric Nurse II with the State of Alaska or its equivalent with another employer.
Substitution:
Combinations of prior training and experience in other specializations of nursing care (e.g., Psychiatric, Corrections, Public Health, Critical Care, Surgical) will be evaluated for comparability on a case-by-case basis.
