Registered Nurse (RN) – Temporary (Full Time)
Providence is calling for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Seward, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all– especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Hours:
Full Time (36 Hours Weekly), Temporary, Variable Shift.
The Primary Care Nurse is in charge of the resident care for a specific group of residents, including supervision of team members. Nursing services delivered by the team are supervised by and directly accountable to the director of nursing (DNS) through the licensed nurses in the homes. The Primary Care Nurse coordinates referrals to other members of the clinical support team, families and physicians and serves as the point of contact for elder information.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate resident care for a specific group of residents.
- Oversee nursing services delivered by the team.
- Ensure accountability to the director of nursing through licensed nurses.
- Coordinate referrals to clinical support team, families and physicians.
- Serve as the point of contact for elder information.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
- 6 months of nursing experience in a health care facility (acute care, long‑term care, rehabilitation center).
- Supervision/leadership experience.
