Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED
- Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Sitka, Alaska.
Emergency Room Clinical Nurse (Sitka, Alaska). The organization needs a RN to coordinate and perform nursing care procedures for patients of all ages. The role requires independent clinical decision-making during scheduled shifts, adherence to provider orders and nursing policies, and the ability to respond calmly to emergent situations. Candidates must bring their RN license on the first day.

- Valid, current, full and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be held upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire date
- Flu vaccination required at time of submission
- One-year clinical nurse experience preferred (no minimum specified)
- Documentation, infection control, and medication administration skills per RN standards
- Provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care using appropriate infection control measures
- Assess patients, document findings, initiate and manage nursing procedures consistent with policy
- Administer age‑specific medications and therapeutics accurately
- Coordinate patient care activities with physicians and other team members
- Anticipate problems and respond to changes in patient status to reduce risk
- Communicate and educate patients and significant others about care and discharge information
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Lead and supervise nursing staff and technicians as delegated
- Support orientation of new staff, travelers, and students as assigned
- Complete annual competencies and maintain certification and licensure
- Attend at least 50% of departmental staff meetings and comply with scheduling guidelines

Cross Country Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
