RN - Case Manager

This position is for Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, AK. The start date is August 31, 2026, and the end date is November 30, 2026, for a total of 13 weeks. The shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with 36 scheduled hours per week.

The candidate must have an active Alaska license at the time of submission and must have the flu vaccine. Experience required includes 8 years of clinical care or nursing experience, with 3 years in chart review, risk management, or related quality service. A Case Management certification by a recognized certifying organization (i.e., NCQA, CCMC) is preferred.

Key responsibilities include managing patient progression of care, promoting evidenced-based protocols, ensuring the appropriateness of interventions, and expediting care delivery for patients admitted. The role involves reviewing patient records, evaluating patient progress, collaborating with physicians and clinical care teams, and ensuring healthcare services are appropriate and cost-effective.

Education, certifications, and licenses required include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Case Management certification by a recognized certifying organization (i.e., NCQA, CCMC), and an active nursing license in Alaska. High school diploma or equivalent is also required.
