Overview

Registered Nurse – ER (Emergency Room), Sitka, Alaska. This travel – temporary assignment places you in an acute care setting starting 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a rotating shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,988 to $3,163. The role requires current Alaska RN licensure, BLS and PALS on hire, and ACLS within six months of employment.

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) for patients across age groups.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor responses and document effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team; coordinate patient care activities and delegate tasks to CNAs/Technicians as appropriate.
• Recognize and respond to urgent or emergent conditions; implement life‑saving interventions and ensure infection control protocols.
• Educate patients and families, promote discharge planning, and participate in continuity‑of‑care activities and handoffs.

• Active, current RN license in Alaska.
• BLS and PALS required upon hire; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Experience:
  
  One year of clinical nursing experience preferred; prior ER experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospital ER setting and to function within rotating shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to supervise and collaborate with CNA/Tech staff.
