Public Health Nurse 3 – Sitka, AK

Public Health Nurses (PHNs) provide community-focused care and lead public health initiatives throughout Alaska. As a Public Health Nurse 3, you will deliver expert care, lead quality improvement efforts, and travel to outlying communities to meet patient needs.

• Health screenings and preventive care
• Infectious disease monitoring and treatment
• Community health assessments and improvement initiatives

Eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Alaska;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Additional competencies include:

• Interpersonal Skills – effective relationships and cultural competence.

Required licensure:
Alaska Registered Nurse License (Alaska Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Statutes AS 08.68, Nursing Regulations 12 AAC 44) and a valid Driver’s License at appointment.
