RN Inpatient Care Coordinator
Start Date:
10/5/2026 Pay Rate: $1800.00 - $2500.00
Reviews patient records, hospitalization status, and treatment plans to ensure appropriate, high-quality, and cost-effective care while maintaining compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. Collaborates with physicians, leadership, care teams, patients, and families to coordinate care, support utilization management, discharge planning, and healthcare benefit education. Manages documentation, appeals, notifications, quality reviews, billing-related communication, and tumor registry functions to support organizational and clinical improvement efforts.
MinimumRequired Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- AK RN license
- BLS
- 8 years’ clinical care or nursing experience, 3 years of which should be in chart review, risk management, or related quality service
- Knowledge of Conducting and reviewing medical records for medical necessity, level of care, and public and private insurance reimbursement.
- Basic ICD-9 and CPT coding.
- Regulations as set forth by The Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services.
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and concepts of disease.
