Tongass Threads Consignment Store is seeking a friendly, motivated, and tech‑savvy Sales Associate/Inventory Specialist to join our team this fall from October 1st to April 10th or so. Opportunities to extend employment further may be available and can be addressed on an individual basis.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Shared employee housing is available for out-of-town seasonal associates. Housing is provided in a three‑bedroom, two‑bathroom trailer and includes one shared bedroom for two occupants. The cost of housing is $20 per day, deducted from each paycheck. Details concerning housing and company car use will be discussed during the interview process.

Schedule:
Start date is flexible by a few days and will be discussed.
Winter Shifts (Oct 1 - May
1) 11:00AM to 6:00PM with a six‑day work week running Tuesday through Sunday. The store is closed on Mondays in the winter months.
Provide outstanding customer service to shoppers and consignors, both in‑store and over the phone.
Receive, inspect, and process items brought in by consignors.
Utilize retail software and point‑of‑sale systems efficiently.
Maintain a clean, welcoming, and visually appealing store environment.
Support overall store operations as needed including merchandising retail and all time‑based phases of processing inventory.
A reliable, punctual team member with strong work ethic and experience in customer service.
Highly tech‑savvy with fast, accurate typing skills and the ability to learn software quickly.
Comfortable standing and being on your feet for extended periods.
A solid employment history and a high level of professionalism.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to professionally and politely decline items that are not a good fit for the store during inventory intake.
