Position: Traveling Electronics Technician for FAA T5 (Alaska)

Electronics Technicians - T5 FAA Program - 100% Travel - Alaska Statewide

Parsons is seeking Electronics Technicians to join their team supporting the FAA’s T5 Program across Alaska. This role involves extensive travel, hands‑on installation, repair, and troubleshooting of radio and fiber optics systems in challenging environments. Ideal candidates are adaptable, technically skilled, and ready to work in all weather conditions while supporting critical aviation infrastructure.

What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma required
  • 1+ years’ experience with testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installation of Fiber Optics, Radio Control Systems, and complex electronics equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb towers up to 50 ft.
  • Basic Microsoft suite, Internet, and E-mail skills
  • Ability to meet customer security requirements (background check by federal authorities)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% within Alaska
  • Knowledge of Alaskan terrain
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Advanced electronics training from junior college, military service, or trade school
  • Experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, modifying, and installing various types of electronic equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, navigational aids, computers, industrial equipment)
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to diagnose and restore equipment operation
