Arctic Heavy-Duty Mechanic | Remote Rotations & Diagnostics

Heavy Duty Mechanics - North Slope-Utility - 3x3 - North Slope, AK

This company is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics for their North Slope-Utility operations in Alaska. The role involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy duty and light trucks, generators, and equipment in remote arctic conditions. Ideal candidates will have strong diagnostic skills, a safety-first attitude, and the ability to work long rotations in challenging environments.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry
• Experience with Volvo and Cummins heavy equipment, and Ford light duty vehicles
• Mechanical and computer diagnostic skills
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
• Valid Driver License meeting insurance criteria
• Commercial Driver License class B or better with air brake endorsement (preferred)
• DOT/medical card
• Pass pre-hire drug, alcohol, fitness, background, and computer-based tests
• Ability to work 11.5 hour days for at least 21 consecutive days as required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adhere to company and OSHA safety policies

• Vocational technical school education
• Ford Certification
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card
