Carpenter Lead – Anchorage, Alaska – Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Non‑Exempt position. Full‑Time, Day Shift.

- Delegate tasks and provide guidance to the Structures team, ensuring safety and compliance with standards and contracts.
- Provide technical guidance with the Site Manager for in‑house or subcontract work.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding repairs, unexpected issues, and needs.
- Assign, coordinate, and track technician assignments; review work orders, monitor safety, and document completions.
- Review completed work for quality, completeness, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of buildings, structures, and associated property.
- Maintain cable trolley systems, obstacle course apparatuses, and playground equipment.
- Layout, install, replace, repair, and remove interior and exterior walls, floors, roofs, platform towers, steps, handrails, ceilings, and more.
- Maintain finishes, trim, and decor to match or exceed existing appearance.
- Assemble and secure furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Assist Quality Control and Safety departments with training and inspections.
- Utilize mobile maintenance and inspection systems to maintain records and submit daily documents.
- Ensure installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
- Clean, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used in duties.
- Conduct mold and asbestos testing and abatement as required.
- Operate hand and power tools; maintain company vehicles, trailers, and small equipment such as lifts, generators, heaters, hoists, and pneumatic equipment.
- Wear PPE consistently.
- Four (4) years of carpentry or construction experience preferred.
- Journeyman carpenter license preferred.
- Ability to work in various environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding schematics and blueprints.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours, including back shifts and weekends, when needed.
- Lift or move up to 70 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking.
- Stand or sit for several hours; climb in and out of vehicles; navigate stairs.
- Work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Valid state driver’s license (REAL ) or acceptable alternative such as U.S. passport or military to obtain and maintain required security clearances and installation access. Background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
