Generator Technicians - FIFO

Ice Services is seeking Generator Technicians to maintain and repair power plants and generators on Alaska’s North Slope. The role involves working in a remote arctic environment, performing preventative and predictive maintenance on critical life support equipment. Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work extended periods in challenging conditions.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of generator maintenance and repair experience
• Technical/Vocational School related training preferred
• Knowledge of diesel/natural gas generators/engines (mobile and non-mobile)
• Troubleshooting skills with ATS, Paralleling Switch Gear, electrical distribution equipment, and HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics
• Valid State , Driver’s License, or government-issued
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
• Routine walking, standing, bending
• Pass UA/BA & pre-hire fit-for-duty test
• Ability to work safely in a remote arctic environment
