This position provides daily supervision and support to MEHS residential students to ensure a safe and positive living environment. The incumbent will respond to students' needs and assist them as challenges arise.

The incumbent will maintain discipline and uphold respectful community standards within the dorms. In emergency or high-stress situations, the incumbent will remain calm, assess circumstances quickly, and take effective action. Overall, this position ensures students are well supported, appropriately supervised, and set up for success in their residential experience.

Mt Edgecumbe High School is an Advanced accredited public boarding school with 430 students from over 100 communities throughout Alaska. Most come from communities with schools enrolling fewer than 50 students: approximately 80% are Alaska Native. This diverse population results in a unique remarkable learning community – blending of cultures and beliefs, old ways and new, honoring the wisdom of the past while working together to forge the future.

Our school is in Sitka, Alaska on Baranof Island.

Two years of paid work experience, one year of which was dealing with the public. College education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
