SUMMARY
:
Perform repair of large diesel and gas engines, tanks, and pickup trucks. Maintain repair logs and scheduled maintenance programs for all rolling stock. Perform driver and delivery duties as needed.
- Perform repair and maintenance on all plant rolling stock to assure good condition of vehicles.
- Oversee maintenance program and complete repair logs as required.
- Fill in for driver/delivery persons as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safety‑conscious work area.
- Perform other duties in mechanical or driver areas as requested by the Plant Manager.
- Keep abreast of legal requirements for trucks and heavy equipment and ensure company equipment meets them.
- Perform maintenance and repair at the plant, marina, fuel dock, gas station as needed.
- Other work‑related duties as assigned.
- Must carry a current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with required endorsements and have a good driving record.
- Must be willing to work overtime during busy seasons and be available for call‑outs.
- Must be professional and courteous with customers at all times.
- Must be able to work well with others and perform a variety of duties.
- Must have a current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement.
- Extensive physical position requiring constant mobility: sitting, standing, crawling, lying down as needed.
- May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required.
- Proper lifting techniques required. Must occasionally lift 75 lbs., routinely lift 50 lbs.
The position requires constant exposure to industrial areas, electric components, valves, piping, pressure components, petroleum by‑products, and marine outdoor environments.
