Glacier Fish Company is dedicated to producing the highest quality frozen-at-sea groundfish products in the world. We are one of the largest producers of frozen at sea cod and pollock, and distributes seafood throughout the world. We manage two trawl catcher-processor vessels that operate in the Bering Sea and off the coast of Washington and Oregon. Come join us with one of the many exciting job opportunities available!
Requirements- Repetitive, fast paced accuracy and movements
- Physical lifting up to 70 lbs, repetitively
- Standing 16 hrs/day for 7 days/week
- Work in a wet, cold environments
- Work in small spaces in close proximity of other crew
- Self-motivated team-player
- Must be able to provide 2 recent positive references from previous employers
- All candidates subject to a post offer pre-employment drug test, medical and background screen
- Sort fish by species, size, and condition
- Tend and operate machinery
- Inspect the fillet product to ensure it meets company quality standards
- Package, weigh, and label product to be placed into freezer
- Deep clean factory equipment
- Participate in offload of frozen product at end of trip
- Load and unload other supplies onto vessel
- Limited privacy; rooms are shared 4-8 bunks per room
- Each fishing trips averages 13-24 days depending on fishing conditions
- All meals and laundry are provided at no cost
- Expect limited communication - cell phones will not work at sea
- Satellite Wi-Fi provided - integrated Starlink is a high-speed, low-latency broadband internet able to adapt to remote locations
- Company travel policy agreement: successful completion of 2 consecutive fishing trips while vessel is fishing in Alaska grants eligibility for airfare/hotel expenses between vessel and Seattle to be paid by the company

$7,900 - $12,000 a month Crew are paid a crew share which can range between $3200 - $3500 each full trip worked. Trip lengths can vary between 12 - 24 days on average depending on fishing conditions. There are a scheduled number of trips the vessel will fish each season based on quota. Shipyard work is available while the vessel is in port between the fishing seasons.
