Machine Operator Excavator Operator

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project inKent.

You will operate an 8t 360 tracked excavators across a variety of groundwork and drainage tasks maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating an 8T 360 tracked excavator safely and efficiently
• Carrying out scaffold mat and driveway formation works as part of an established gang
• Preparing and forming driveways access routes and hard standing areas
• Working alongside Ground workers Site Engineers Dumper Operators and other plant operators to achieve the required formation levels
• Digging trenches and carrying out general groundwork activities where required
• Lifting and working with trench boxes manhole boxes and trench sheets where required
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTS

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator /- 10t Tracked*
• Proven experience operating an 8T excavator
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS
  * Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• GPS machine control experience
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Ride-On Roller
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Telehandler
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Quick Hitch Attachment
• 5 years of experience

* Please note:

to comply with client requirements we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement please still get in touch we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
