Machine Driver

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Sittingbourne. You will operate 8T tracked excavators across a range of tasks including lifting operations external drainage and driveway works maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care - for a period of two weeks with huge potential to extend.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating 8T tracked excavators across various groundwork activities
• Carrying out lifting operations in line with current lifting plans and site requirements
• Installing and maintaining external drainage systems including trenching laying pipes and back filling
• Excavating and preparing sub-bases for driveway construction works
• Working accurately to drawings and levels to ensure quality of finished work
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Excavator /- 10t Tracked*
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS
  * Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE:

• GPS machine control experience
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Ride-On Roller
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Telehandler
• CPCS / NPORS
  * Quick Hitch Attachment
• 5 years of experience

* Please note: to comply with client requirements we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement please still get in touch we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
