Excavator Operator

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Scaff Mat & Driveway Excavator Operator to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Heritage Fields (Sittingbourne). You will be responsible for working on a busy enclosed highway above and around existing services installing scaff mats and constructing driveways with a strong focus on road formation and grading accuracy maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

• Installation and removal of scaffold mats in line with site requirements
• Construction of temporary and permanent driveways on a busy enclosed highway
• Working safely above and around existing live services
• Road formation and grading to specification and levels
• Ground preparation including topsoil stripping and sub-base placement (Type 1 / crush)
• Ensuring all works comply with drawings levels and site instructions
• Acknowledging the need for dig permits and safe systems before breaking ground
• Working closely with plant operators and site teams to maintain workflow
• Carrying out daily checks on tools and equipment keeping work areas safe and tidy

• Proven experience in scaff mat installation and driveway / road formation works
• Experience working in highway environments and around live services
• Strong understanding of grading and levels
• CSCS Card (required)
• Safety Critical Medical (if site required)
• Reliable punctual and able to work well as part of a gang
• Right to work in the UK

• NPORS / CPCS Plant Tickets (Dumper Roller Excavator)
• Streetworks / Highways experience
• GPS / level control experience
• 5 years of relevant experience
