Residential Child Care Workers | Skelmersdale

Are you looking for a role where you can truly focus on the progress of one young person? We are opening a solo residential home in Skelmersdale and are looking for dedicated, empathetic, and resilient Support Workers to join our founding team.
In this unique setting, you will work in a 2:1 staff-to-child ratio, ensuring the highest level of support, safety, and therapeutic care.
The Shift PatternWe understand the importance of work-life balance. This role follows a Ŗ on, 4 off" rolling roster.
- Work: 2 consecutive days (including sleep-ins).
- Rest: 4 consecutive days off.
- This pattern allows you to decompress fully and provides a consistent environment for the young person.
- Unqualified RSW: £13.00 per hour
- Qualified RSW (Level 3/4): £14.00 per hour
- Senior RSW: £15.00 per hour
- Sleep-in Allowance: £70.00 per night

While it’s a solo home for the child, you will work closely with your shift partner to create a family-like atmosphere. - Experience:
Previous experience in residential childcare is preferred, but we offer a path for Unqualified RSWs who have the right heart and attitude.
- Creating a safe, warm, and nurturing "home" environment.
- Supporting the young person with daily routines, education, and hobbies.
- Maintaining detailed logs and reports regarding the young person’s progress.
- Managing challenging behavior with a therapeutic, non-judgmental approach.
