* Full-time Trade Distribution Ltd is an up-and-coming, leading logistics operator across the UK, continuing to invest heavily in its fleet and workshop facilities. Due to continued growth and increased workload, we are looking to recruit an additional experienced HGV Technician to join our busy Skelmersdale workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Mechanic or Technician looking to join a forward-thinking company with high standards, modern equipment, and a strong focus on compliance, safety, and vehicle reliability.
* The Role
* As an HGV Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of HGV vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work is completed to strict DVSA and company standards.
* Key Responsibilities
* * MOT preparation for HGV vehicles and trailers

* Routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance in line with the fleet planner

* Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs

* Attending and resolving breakdowns in line with company procedures

* Working to strict health and safety standards

* Accurately completing all maintenance and compliance paperwork

* Updating and maintaining records using computerised maintenance management systems

* Requirements
* * Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

* Good working knowledge of HGVs and trailers

* Understanding of computerised / digital maintenance systems

* Commitment to high standards and compliance

* City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent preferred)

* Class 1 (C+E) licence advantageous but not essential
