Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Controller – Skokie, IL

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee accounting operations and support strategic financial decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership ability who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations

• Prepare and review accurate monthly financial statements

• Oversee bank reconciliations across multiple facilities

• Conduct payroll account audits and ensure compliance with policies

• Monitor and manage cash flow to support organizational goals

• Partner with cross-functional teams and provide financial insights

• Work closely with and support the CFO on key initiatives

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in reporting

• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Proven experience managing and leading teams in a financial setting
