- Local travel to other corporate sites listed above will be required as necessary.
As the Director, Clinical Applications for Procedural Areas at Endeavor Health, you will lead the development, testing, configuration, optimization, and implementation services of solutions specific to areas of responsibility. You will manage the full life‑cycle of these solutions, from strategic planning and development through launch and ongoing maintenance. Your goal will be to reduce manual effort, enhance patient and user experience, and create innovative operational solutions.
Success in this role requires staying current on emerging technologies, advocating industry best practices, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
This role will oversee teams within Lab Information Systems (LIS) including Epic Beaker, as well as OR scheduling systems such as Epic Optime.
What You Will Do- Drive end‑to‑end activities for the assigned solutions portfolio and lead high‑performance teams.
- Provide direction for solution implementation, including planning, technical setup, building, testing, training, deployment, optimization, and support.
- Establish relationships with domain leaders to understand strategic business needs and identify business requirements to guide specifications.
- Lead or participate in governance committees to collaborate with stakeholders on priority and workload.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure systems and solutions meet or exceed Endeavor Health’s needs.
- Mentor direct reports in activities such as capital and operating budgets, policy and procedure development, talent management, and governance.
- Stay updated on market technologies and promote their implementation. Participate in industry organizations such as HIMSS, CHIME, Epic UGM/XGM, and VMware World.
- Develop partnerships with fellow leaders to identify synergies and improvement opportunities, ensuring seamless collaboration across functional components.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for assigned areas and identify opportunities for technology and process improvement.
- Independently develop recommendations and resolve complex human resource, technical, or communication issues.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent work experience. - Experience:
Five (5) or more years managing processes, applications, or systems in a healthcare setting or related industry. - Leadership:
Three (3) or more years of leadership experience. - Preferred
Skills: - Prior experience supporting procedural clinical application areas (Anesthesia, Labs & LIS, Epic Beaker, Epic Optime).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
