Position: GI Tech - Days
Hourly Pay Range:
$20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  6:30am to 5:30pm M-F - Occasional Sat rotation - On Call Rotation (including nights/wkends)

What you will do:

The GI Technician serves as an assistant in the Outpatient GI Lab, working with patients, preparing instruments and equipment and assisting in the procedure room. Additional duties include:

• Assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN
• Maintain the procedure room set up, equipment care and maintenance
• Assist with specimen collection & disinfection of instruments
• Assist physicians during procedures
• Room patients and take vitals

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred

• Certification:
  • CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association

• Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required
  • Basic computer experience
  • Ability to take vitals and perform CPR
