Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP)

Join our dedicated team as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in a compassionate and professional environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while working within a collaborative and growth-oriented organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the Individual Support Planning (ISP) process for residents in Shore’s Residential homes.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of active treatment plans and program services.
  • Ensure all services comply with state and federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Serve as a case manager, advocate, and liaison for residents, families, and service providers.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 shift support for residential homes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Document all services, interventions, and progress accurately and timely.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to direct care staff regarding treatment plans and regulatory compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid certification as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) or eligible for certification.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to residential services.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Requirements
  • Closed-toe shoe with non-slip sole.
  • Use of personal vehicle for travel between homes, appointments, and community resources.
  • Recommend no earrings, rings with raised designs, bracelets, chains, pins, and long fingernails.
Non-Essential Duties
  • Performs light maintenance and cleaning as needed.
  • Lifting or carrying boxes or packages.
