Position:
Registered Nurse – Pre Procedure Services
Location:Skokie, IL (hybrid eligible after 6 months)
Hours:Part-time, 24 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Responsibilities include:conducting pre-surgical patient interviews via telephone, providing patient education, collaborating with anesthesia providers, ensuring completion of pre-surgical testing, and integrating research into nursing practice.
Delivering safe, effective, compassionate care by utilizing the nursing process, guiding unlicensed staff, and working with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Promoting quality improvement and maintaining current nursing standards.
Qualifications- Current Illinois RN license
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum of 5 years peri-anesthesia experience, with strong pre-admission testing background preferred
- Proficiency in EPIC application is desirable
Skills:
Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical skills in perioperative settings, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
