Inside Sales Representative – Slidell, LA

Location:

Slidell, LA – Retail shop

• Act as a Sales Associate, selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to businesses and industrial customers.
• Solve customers' equipment and material needs, offer guidance, and demonstrate equipment use.
• Prepare and handle sales documentation, quotes, and record‐keeping.
• Coordinate cylinder and hardgoods delivery, maintain showroom displays, assist with loading/unloading cylinders.
• Communicate with customers in person and by phone about cost, ordering, and delivery times.
• Monitor customer inventory to maintain proper cylinder and hardgood levels and minimize emergency deliveries.
• Check account receivable status, resolve past‑due accounts, and collect payment as required.
• Ensure all paperwork, coding, costing and pricing is accurate; follow administrative and accounting procedures.
• Adhere strictly to safety rules, Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft/Google applications.
• Accurate handling of cash transactions.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly and occasionally 76+ lbs with equipment.
• Adherence to Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and related procedures.

• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
• Knowledge of welding, gases, industrial, or safety supply sales.
