We’ll involve you in activities and training that will continue to help you develop your skills, or provide refresher training if you already have caregiver experience. You’ll build wonderful relationships with our clients and provide valuable services within your community.

Home Instead® is an international, non-medical home care company. Our local franchise has served aging adults in our community for over 20 years throughout St. Tammany and Washington Parishes.

We accept people with all levels of experience. We currently need Care Pros looking for both Part-Time and Full-Time work schedules. Typical schedules are 5‑hour, 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts. We work with Care Pros and clients to match you with clients, with shifts scheduled. Our goal is to establish recurring schedules for our Care Pros if that is important to you.

We also have the ability to work with those who need more flexibility in their shift schedules. We are hiring for both day and night shifts!

Our pay scale is very competitive within the home care industry and there may be opportunities for advancement. Current Care Pro Pay Rates range up to $14.00 per hour for weekday shifts ($15.00 for weekends) based on the Care Pro’s Skills Tier – described further below.

There are a wide range of duties, depending on a client’s care needs, and a Care Pro’s skills tier. Examples include but are not limited to the following:

Companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep/clean‑up, medication reminders, incidental transportation to appointments/outings, assistance with ambulation, etc.

All Tier 1 duties plus personal care / assistance with activities of daily living, gait belt usage, etc.

All Tiers 1 & 2 duties plus bed‑bound / non‑weight bearing care experience, transfer boards, mobility sheets, etc.

All Tiers 1, 2 & 3 duties plus Hoyer lift experience, or current CNA certificate.

• No prior experience required; one or more years of caregiver experience preferred.
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with confidentiality, dignity, and respect.
• Possess reliable transportation and the ability to be on time for assigned shifts.
• Ability to communicate with clients and the office staff in a friendly, professional and respectful manner.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have current auto insurance that meets minimum state coverage level.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and drug & alcohol screening test.
