This job answers all incoming calls on the main telephone line and pleasantly assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees professionally with questions or directions.
ScheduleRotating Shifts – Holiday and Weekends Required
EducationPreferred – High school diploma or equivalent.
Work ExperienceRequired – 1 year of customer service experience.

- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to remain calm, pleasant, and helpful in high‑pressure situations.
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively work both independently and with a team.
- Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answers all incoming calls quickly and pleasantly, always clearly identifying self and company greeting.
- Transfers patients and guests to appropriate department.
- Verifies and registers vendors following policy procedures.
- Reviews all codes regularly and prepared to call codes as directed or per policy.
- Pages/beeps as per policy, including but not limited to providers on call.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Performs other related duties as required.
