Department: Service Desk
Location: Louisiana
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 / year
Key Responsibilities- System Installation and Maintenance:
Set up and maintain surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access control equipment, and ensure the stability and availability of these systems. - Technical Troubleshooting:
Provide expert onsite and remote technical support, diagnosing and resolving issues swiftly to ensure minimal disruption to operations. - Strategic
Collaboration:
Work closely with construction teams and external vendors to ensure our technology needs are met and exceeded. - System Programming and Integration:
Assist with programming existing systems, system integrations, and support for new installations, offering solutions that drive our mission forward. - Proactive Maintenance:
Lead the charge in proactive work, focusing on system maintenance, backups, and upgrades to preempt potential issues. - Documentation and Training:
Develop comprehensive documentation and training materials for staff, conducting formal and informal training sessions to enhance team capabilities. - Emergency Support:
Respond promptly and professionally to after‑hours emergency calls and requests as needed, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in service.
- 2-5 years of hands‑on experience in physical security, fire alarm, or low‑voltage communication industry, installing field devices, and system programming.
- Familiarity with leading security and access control systems. Specific product knowledge is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, gateways, routers, and switches.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a customer‑first attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or technical schooling preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Must be legally authorized to work and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
